Associate Heng Wang Xing completes Ironman Triathlon
An Ironman Triathlon is an extreme endurance event organized by the World Triathlon Corporation consisting of a 2.4 miles (3.86 km) swim, a 112 miles (180.25 km) bike and a 26 miles 385 yards marathon (42.195 km) run, raced in that order and without a break and to be completed within 17 hours
The first Ironman Triathlon was held on February 18, 1978 in Honolulu, Hawaii. Since its inception, the Ironman has been received all over the world as an icon of determination and perseverance, with athletes training for years just to complete one.
Heng Wang Xing completed this event in an astounding 13 hrs 59 min and 50 sec on the 10 March 2010 at Taupo, New Zealand.
