Shankar's most memorable case was a case where an employer sued an employee for breach of duties pursuant to the terms of employment. Shankar acted for the employee. The employee, a family man with children, was jobless at the time the action was proceeding against him.
The employee was worried that if judgment was obtained against him he would have to face bankruptcy proceedings. More importantly the employee felt that he had done his job diligently when he was working for his employer. The trial went for 4 days with 11 witnesses taking the stand.
The court dismissed the action by the employer at the end of the trial. The employee was elated. Shankar was satisfied that justice was done.
