Ramesh graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2005 and was called to the Singapore Bar in May 2007.
Prior to reading law, Ramesh was practicing as an accountant for a year before becoming an auditor. He was an Auditor in a renowned local accounting firm for three years where he gained a wealth of experience in auditing, compliance testing (internal control audits), forensic audits, audit of solicitors' trust accounts and other special audits.
As an auditor, Ramesh was heavily involved in forensic audits. His significant assignment involved investigation work of a listed in company in Singapore.
Ramesh believes that his grounding in accounting and auditing will enable him to give competent and insightful advice in civil as well as in commercial crime matters.
Ramesh believes that to enjoy and to remain practicing as a lawyer, it is important where one begins his/her career. He chose Straits Law Practice LLC as the firm guarantees a supportive work environment, without compromising the rigorous training that could be offered to a new member of the Bar. Ramesh also enjoys the independence he is given at the firm.

Most Significant Legal Cases to Date
Ramesh assisted the Head of Criminal Department in a criminal matter where our client was charged for murder. The charge was later reduced to that of culpable homicide not amounting to murder.
He assisted in a civil matter where our clients are being sued for breaching a contract worth US$1 million.
