Most Significant Legal Cases to Date
Although Jennifer has handled numerous high profile capital cases including murder and drug trafficking, her most memorable case was the case involving a single mum who was charged with shoplifting.
The single mother dropped out of school in Secondary 2 and within a year she had become a chain smoker and a hardcore drug addict. By her late teens, she was also a nightclub singer.
At her 3rd visit to the DRC, she decided to sit for her N levels examinations and scored five A1s. In total, she was sent to the DRC on no less than 4 occasions.
Two years after her last release from the DRC, she gave birth to a baby girl. When the baby was about a month old, the single mother stole baby clothes for her baby and was arrested for shoplifting.
Despite the single mother's background of running afoul of the law over the last 15 years of her life, Jennifer managed to convince the Attorney-General's Chambers to reduce the charge to one of simple theft and also managed to convince the Court that the single mother deserved a final chance. The single mother was fined $1000.00. Jennifer's satisfaction was the difference she made in this unfortunate woman's life.
