Gloria graduated from the University of Leicester in 2007. She was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore in 2010 after completing her pupillage at Straits Law Practice LLC.

Prior to joining Straits Law, Gloria was an award-winning student journalist with two local Chinese language papers. She is also a writer, having published her first solo publication titled ("Stepping Out of the Ivory Tower") in June 2002, making her one of the youngest Chinese authors in Singapore. This title is also listed in the National Library of Singapore's National Bibliography database.

During her university days, Gloria was elected as the Vice-President of the United Kingdom Singapore Law Students Society (UKSLSS). She was also the Chief Editor for the UKSLSS's annual magazine "Lex Loci".

Gloria enjoys music, cooking and taking care of her pet cat, Xiaobai, with her parents.
